Children Are Facing New Challenges, How They Interact With The World And Impacts On Their Development

Are you worried about your child?

Often parents are doing everything they can to support their child, but it can be helpful for your child to have their own private space to explore the issues they are facing, the emotions they are feeling and strategies to copy with them as well as
developing ways to improve their relationships.

To help children feel
more comfortable and able to express themselves, I use video games, digital sand trays and other digital platforms in my practice.

Talking therapy can be intimidating or unengaging to children. To help children feel more comfortable and able to express themselves, I use video games, digital
sand trays and other digital platforms in my practice.

I also offer real-time text message counselling as well as phone/voice and video counselling, the range of options can help children who are reluctant to engage in counselling.

Working with children, is the most rewarding part of my job as a therapist. I enjoy seeing the world through their eyes and helping them make sense of what is happening in their life.

I offer a confidential space, allowing children to share how they are feeling, how to manage how they are feeling and how to share their feelings with important people in their lives, like you, their parent.

As I provide an online space for children to talk through what is troubling them, my
work often includes meeting children who are “third culture kids” or TCKs. These
children have lived in many places or currently live in a different place to where they
would consider home.

Providing therapy to TCKs is one of my specialisms and the focus is on exploring loss and grief that can be carried around but not acknowledged.

These feelings, if left unprocessed, could cause psychological disorders such as
depression and anxiety.

Working with children also includes working with the parent/s, and it is important to
me to have the support of the parent/s during my work. I offer an initial session with
you and your child so we can establish how your child and I will work together.

I can also meet you separately at first if you prefer. In addition, I offer an optional review
sessions, where appropriate, which you are invited to so that your child can share
their progress with you.
